Pixel Master Chief

Hello world.

My brother over at his blog has uploaded his finished pixel work of Master Chief. Over the last 3 weeks or so, I got sent regular updates on how his work was going, so I’ve seen it come from a very basic outline to the finished image that it is now. I think it’s pretty damn good so I thought i’d post it up myself aswell.

He started out with a picture of the chief and then just drew over it for a basic outline. He then started work (pixel by pixel) to make it as beautiful as it is now.

If you fancy pretending to be me, you can go over to his blog and see how it came together in stages. Hope you like.

Rick Rolling Christmas

So as I was going through my group spam invites earlier today, one caught my eye. Now I’m not a huge  fan of joining  random groups, especially those trying to make facebook change back to the “good old days”, but this one intrigued me. The idea behind the  group is to beat X Factor to the christmas number 1 with something a bit more pleasent. The song of course is Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley.

Most of these groups that appear that try to make something happen usually fall flat on their faces. They are usually over ambitious and never pick up momentum. But I think the youth of the UK might actually pick up this group and try to oust Simon Cowell away from the top spot. The usual amount for a number 1 in the UK requires about 125,000 to 150,000 sales. Christmas number 1’s usually need above 400,000. The group currently has 35,000 members but hopefully that will grow. The plan is to all buy NGGYU from an online store (such as iTunes) between the 15th and 20th of december and hopefully hit the top spot. I don’t know if it can be done, but even if Rick gets in the top 20, I think Christmas will have been slightly rick-rolled.

After a very long weekend, I decided to finally man up and download Banjo Kazooie for the 360 off the Arcade. But it seems that Microsoft have pushed it back a week (from the 27th to the 4th) for reasons I can’t seem to find. If you do find Banjo Kazooie on the market place, all you will find is a trailer along with 2 picture packs at the moment. This time next week however, it should be out.

Also, I’m hoping that a certain video will be edited by next week. Highly optimistic I know.
